Relief from Dry Eye begins with understanding Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), the leading cause of Dry Eye Disease. Evidence-based studies confirm that compromised meibomian gland function negatively affects overall ocular surfacehealth, making effective treatment essential for patient comfort and vision quality.
The integrated skin–cooling technology helps prevent unwanted temperature increases in the epidermis during treatment. This significantly reduces thermal side effects, making the procedure more tolerable and safer for patients while maintaining clinical effectiveness.
Maximum comfort for the patient — Maximum safety for the operator
ThermaEye Plus includes an integrated power meter that continuously monitors each pulse emitted during treatment. This tool ensures accurate energy delivery, verifies proper handpiece operation, and provides real-time feedback to the operator. By tracking pulse output and system performance, the power meter enhances safety, consistency, and overall treatment precision.
ThermaEye Plus is equipped with six interchangeable filters that allow the operator to easily choose the appropriate wavelength based on the patient’s pathology and skin type. This flexibility makes the system highly versatile for treating a wide variety of dermatological and ocular conditions.
Available filters include 500nm, 520nm, 550nm, 600nm, 650nm, and 800nm (SA). Combined with pulsed IPL technology, these wavelengths ensure optimal absorption of light by melanin, enabling safe and effective treatment across multiple Fitzpatrick skin types.
The software interface is specially designed for MGD and other ocular surface conditions associated with dry eye. It provides intuitive controls and easily selectable treatment parameters, allowing practitioners to work more efficiently
and confidently.
520 nm. Ideal for vascular lesions and pigmentation defects, suitable for patients up to Fitzpatrick skin type III. This wavelength provides precise absorption for treating redness and surface irregularities.
650 nm. The recommended wavelength for Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) treatment. Safe for all skin types up to Fitzpatrick grade VI, it ensures high penetration while minimizing discomfort.
SA – 800 nm. Designed to stimulate collagen production, improving skin texture, tone, and luminosity. This wavelength is suitable for treatments aimed at rejuvenation or non-invasive lifting.
ThermaEye Plus helps improve the quality of care for patients with dry eye, refractive issues, glaucoma, and oculoplastic conditions. By enhancing meibomian gland function and improving the stability of the tear film, IPL treatment effectively supports the overall health of the ocular surface.
Clinical studies show significant improvement in symptoms related to MGD and Dry Eye Disease after IPL treatment. Optimal results are generally achieved after a series of well-scheduled treatment sessions. ThermaEye Plus allows practitioners to customize treatment parameters, achieving high patient satisfaction with safe, predictable outcomes.
